Relay for water level control in boiler and steam generator
Product description
The water level control relay is designed for use in boilers, steam generators and water heating systems where it provides automatic shutdown of the electric heating system when there is insufficient water in the tank.
It prevents the heater from running "dry", protecting the equipment and extending its life.
The device works with two independent capacity systems - TANK (well/tank) and BOILER (boiler/heater).
Equipment functions
Tank level control (TANK)
-
As long as the water level is above the TANK electrode, the pump runs (the "motor operation" indicator is lit).
-
If the water level falls below the TANK electrode, the pump switches off.
Boiler/heater level control (BOILER)
-
When the BOILER sensor level is reached, the pump switches off - the tank is full.
-
If the level in the boiler drops below the BOILER electrode, a 10-second delay is triggered, after which the pump automatically switches on and refills the water.
Electric water heating control (RES Elect)
-
When the water in the boiler reaches the RES Elect level, the heater will switch on (indicator light off).
-
If the level falls below the RES Elect, the heater will switch off and the indicator light will come on.
This feature protects the heater from overheating or destruction when the tank is empty.
Wiring (overview)
-
Com Elect - common electrode (must be connected to the metal body of the tank/boiler; if not conductive, use a separate electrode)
-
Tank Elect - well/tank level electrode
-
Boiler Elect - boiler level electrode
-
Res Elect - electrode for heater control
-
Res Out - output for heater connection
-
Water Not - output for the signal light (no water)
Important notice
-
The electrodes are not included - they must be ordered separately.
-
We also recommend purchasing 3 pieces of 2 A circuit breakers to protect the input and output circuits.
-
Wire the relay exactly according to the manufacturer's diagram.
-
If the receptacle is not conductive, a special common electrode must be used.
